Paul Ambrose, MD, was serving as a senior clinical advisor in the Office of the Surgeon General at the time of his death during the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001. Dr. Ambrose worked toward providing health care and immunizations for the poor and dedicated his brief career to service in public health and the need for physician leadership in health policy.
