

Richard H. Hovland, CPA, CHE, CAE, is Chief Administrative and Financial Officer of the Alzheimer’s Foundation. He formerly served as Vice-president of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer for the American College of Healthcare Executives in Chicago.
Mr. Hovland has more than 15 years of association senior management experience that includes more than nine years as the chief financial officer for the Illinois CPA Society. He is currently on the Board of Directors for the American Medical Association Foundation, is a member of the ASAE Finance and Business Operations Section Council, the ASAE Industry Research Advisory Council and the Illinois CPA Society Not-for-Profit Conference Task Force. His previous experience includes serving on the Illinois CPA Society Regulation and Legislation Committee, the Association Forum Government Affairs Committee and Membership Advisory Committee and the Board of Directors for the West Suburban Humane Society.
Mr. Hovland received his bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Northern Illinois University and holds an MBA in finance from DePaul University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Healthcare Executive (CHE) and a Certified Association Executive (CAE).
Mr. Hovland lives in Naperville, Ill., with his wife Angela and their two daughters.
