

Edmond B. Cabbabe, MD, FACS is a board certified plastic surgeon in private solo practice in St. Louis, Missouri. He is currently a clinical professor of surgery at St. Louis University and the chief of plastic surgery at DePaul health center and formerly chief of plastic surgery at St. Anthony’s medical center.
Dr. Cabbabe has had many leadership positions included presidency of the St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society, Missouri State Medial Association, National Arab American Medical Association, St. Louis Area Society of Plastic Surgeons and Missouri Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. He also served as president of National Arab American Medical Association Foundation, Missouri Physician Health Foundation and Missouri Health Education Foundation. He is currently a Board Member of the Missouri State Medical Foundation, Missouri Center for Patient Safety and vice president of Missouri State Medical Association Insurance Agency.
His AMA involvement included serving on the Governing Council of the International Medical Graduates as an alternate delegate and vice chair. His current involvement is as an alternate delegate from Missouri.
Dr. Cabbabe is an avid writer. He has to his credit over 110 articles in English and Arabic. He served as editor for St. Louis Metropolitan Medicine, a monthly magazine, receiving 2 journalistic awards during his tenure. He is a current or past reviewer for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Hand and on the editorial board of Missouri Medicine and Al-Hakeem.
His public service involvement included providing pro bono gang related tattoo removal to rehabilitate former gang members, treatment of children referred by the Palestine children relief fund and the caring program for children.
Dr. Cabbabe has received numerous awards and honors including the AMAF leadership award, the AMA Membership Outreach recruitment Award, Missouri State Medial Association Citizenship and Community Service Award, the Certificate of Special Recognition for Community Service and Volunteerism Award by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and “The World of Children” award from Progressive Youth Organization. He is a commissioned Colonel of the Commonwealth of Kentucky and “The Doctor Who Goes the Extra Mile” award recipient of Medical Economics.
Dr. Cabbabe's wife Rima, a pharmacist, is a past president of the St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Association Alliance and the National Arab American Medical Association Auxiliary. They have 3 children and two grandchildren.
