
The AMA Young Physicians Section Young at Heart Award was implemented in 1993. Nominees for the award must be AMA members who are not eligible for Section membership whose support and guidance have strengthened the YPS. This can be through (1) organizational aid; (2) support of YPS issues in reference committees/causes and on the floor of the AMA House of Delegates; and/or (3) support of YPS leadership development, eg., promotion of YPS leaders.

The deadline for the 2007 award was December 31, 2006. Only individuals who are not Young Physicians Section members (over age 40) are eligible to be nominated.
