Governing Council Elections

The AMA-YPS is currently accepting nominations for the following leadership positions on the AMA-YPS Governing Council:

  • Chair-elect, who will serve a three-year term: one year as Chair-elect, one year as Chair, and one year as Immediate Past Chair;
  • Speaker, who will be elected to a one-year term in 2008 (beginning in June 2009, the Speaker will be elected to a two-year term); and
  • Delegate, who will represent the AMA-YPS in the House of Delegates for a two-year term.

Nomination forms (Word, 73KB) will be accepted by the AMA-YPS by fax or e-mail until June 2, but after this date, nominations will only be accepted from the floor at the June 13 AMA-YPS Assembly meeting. All terms of office will begin at the close of the 2008 Annual Meeting of the AMA House of Delegates. Visit the Web site for more information on AMA-YPS Governing Council positions and duties.
