To get started:
If your school was selected, you will have received an e-mail stating so. You will need to complete the form you received in the email and send to student.membership@ama-assn.org. When choosing your SIMS event date, choose a date as close to your orientation club fairs as possible. Events must occur prior to Sept. 26, 2008.
Even if your school was not selected to host an AMA student leader this year, you can still benefit from the SIMS program when you contact your MSSOP representative to plan a do-it-yourself SIMS event! You will receive funding for do-it-yourself events so that you can organize an event at your chapter. To request a do-it-yourself event, please submit a chapter involvement grant using the form on www.ama-assn.org/go/cig and name the title of your event do-it-yourself SIMS event.
